AREA 1 Blue Zone

Projects: 

  • Staining of bridge decks for suspension bridges

  • Placing new limestone on trails

  • Planting new plants and other landscaping work adjacent to Dover Activity Center

  • Removing thistle and mullein

Tools welcome to bring: Shovel, hand clippers. LABEL ALL TOOLS 

Parking:

Volunteers should park (please park tightly next to other vehicles) in inner parking lot first, followed by outer parking lot. Parking attendants will be directing traffic.

Project Instructions:

All Area 1 Blue Zone volunteers will be trained on identification of scotch thistle and mullein, as the removal of those plants (clipping at least the flower heads from thistle and digging/pulling mullein) will serve as a universal activity after other work is complete.
