Purpose: To provide support to survivors of sexual violence during the forensic rape examination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete training process
- Sign up for weekly on-call shifts
- Respond to SANE activation while on-call
- Provide advocacy through the medical process
- Complete and return documentation in a thorough and timely matter
- Attend quarterly volunteer meetings
Time commitment: 12 hours/1 shift per week (based on volunteer's schedule)

- Continuing education
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to provide compassionate and empowering advocacy
- Willingness to seek additional education and training
- Basic knowledge of domestic and sexual violence (can be learned during training)
- Sufficient problem solving skills
- Capability to commit to volunteer for at least 1 year
