We’re looking for volunteers to help make this year’s Yellowstone Chili Cookoff a great community event! The cookoff will be held Saturday, October 10 from 5–8 p.m. at the YBGR – Jones Equestrian Center on Hesper Rd, just west of 72nd St. on the north side. Free parking is available, and the entire event is indoors—so no need to worry about the weather.
With hundreds of community members expected to attend, volunteers play a big role in helping the evening run smoothly—and all volunteers receive free entry to the event as a thank-you for helping out.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Set-Up Crew (Oct. 9 & Oct. 10) – Help prepare the space before the event by setting up tables, signage, activity areas, and other event elements.
- Event Volunteers (Oct. 10, during the event 5–8 p.m.) – Assist with guest check-in, activity stations, and general event support.
- Take-Down Crew (Oct. 10 & Oct. 11) – Help clean up, pack up materials, and return the space to normal after the event.
