Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Montana is partnering with Nonstop Local to host a statewide Giving Tuesday Phone-a-thon on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, to encourage families to call in and enroll in the Montana Imagination Library program, which mails free books each month to registered children from birth to age 5 in Montana.
We are currently looking for volunteers to answer incoming calls and assist families with enrollment at the phone bank set up at the Nonstop Local Billings studio (2045 Overland Ave). They will also be assisting with any incoming donations. Volunteers can expect to be on television as the phone banks will be featured in the morning and evening broadcasts. We are seeking volunteers for the following:
Evening (Live Evening Broadcast)- 5-7 p.m.
Volunteers will need to arrive at 4:30 p.m.
· 3 volunteers to answer calls and help with enrollment/donations
· 1 volunteer to monitor any emails and text messages coming in
Volunteer Needs:
· Each volunteer must bring a laptop or tablet that connects to wi-fi.
· Volunteers must be comfortable speaking on the phone (a script will be provided).More about Imagination Library of Montana
Imagination Library of Montana is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting free, high-quality books each month to children from birth to age five in Montana. Age-appropriate books are mailed directly to the homes of registered children each month, starting about 7-10 weeks after their registration is received. Parents or
guardians may register their children online by filling out a brief form at www.imaginationlibrary.com.
In June of 2023, First Lady Gianforte joined Dolly Parton in announcing the statewide expansion of Imagination Library in Montana, making the program available to children from birth to five years old in every county in Montana, regardless of a family’s income. The Treasure State Foundation, founded in 2021 by the First Lady to ensure future First Spouses in Montana can promote the public good with their causes, serves as Montana’s statewide sponsor for Imagination Library.
