AREA 2 RED Zone Projects
PROJECTS:

Clean up of old rock drill at sandstone quarry (note: ¾ of a mile from parking area)

Building of Buffalo Ridge Trail (note: ½ mile from parking area)

Install of handrail on trail switchbacks near Lois’s point

Organize materials in maintenance area to create program space

Spreading of limestone on new trails

Cleaning out dirt and debris from box culvert underpass trail

PARKING:
Entrance is between main park entrance and Trailhead Road roundabout – look for the double gate right at the top of the hill past the main entrance. There will be a AREA 2 sign as well at entrance. Go through gate and park in the field to the left. Parking attendants will be directing traffic. Projects are dispersed and will take some time to walk to, though most/all supplies will be placed at project location. Team Leader will also have parking map instructions with them.
