Coordinated Entry Refresher Training

Coordinated Entry Refresher Training will provide a “refresher” to those participating in the local Coordinated Entry process.  The training will be for persons who are already entering data, providing triage, diversion and assessment to the homeless persons in our community.  Each area of coordinated entry will be reviewed and explained in great detail including:

1. Triage- what is meant by the process and how to capture it on the HMIS system
2. Diversion
   1. how to determine if diversion is right for a participant and how to capture the service on the HMIS system
   2. Future of Diversion and processes in place to creating a systems approach to diversion
3. VI-SPDAT
   1. Determining If a participant qualifies for an assessment
   2. Types of SPDAT tools and how to choose the correct tool
   3. Data entry process for SPDAT
   4. Re-determinations for update to SPDAT’s
4. Case Conferencing – process and policies around case conferencing
5. Housing Navigator how to utilize in our community
6. Maintaining Housing : Working together to provide wrap around services for success.
7. Data Clean Up and Parameters for closing a client on the system.
