Who We Are
Bright n’ Beautiful is a proud affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, the nation's leading community improvement nonprofit organization. At Bright n' Beautiful, we believe that everyone deserves to live in a clean, green and beautiful environment. We inspire and educate people to take action every day to improve and beautify the environment of Yellowstone County. We partner with organizations throughout the county to end littering, promote recycling and beautify the communities we serve.
What We Do
Bright n' Beautiful strives to maintain a clean community through educational programs and community initiatives. Our biggest project of the year is the Great American Cleanup, where we mobilize hundreds of volunteers on the same day (the last Saturday in April) to spruce up an area of Billings. We also support volunteer Cleanup efforts in neighboring Shepherd and Huntley, on the same day as Billings, and Laurel and Worden/Ballantine on the first Saturday in May. We call Great American Cleanup our Feel-Good Event of the Year. It is fun to remember that we join some 1.5 million volunteers in more than 20,000 communities in participating in the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup all across the USA.
Bright n' Beautiful also supports Adopt-a-Spot, where teams from local businesses, service clubs, or families, claim an area in Yellowstone County and pledge to maintain it year round. We take part in Arbor Day celebrations in Billings and Laurel, educating youngsters on the fun and responsibility of litter pick-up and recycling. We participate in United Way Day of Caring with a local beautification project in keeping with the Keep America Beautiful National Planting Day. Bright n' Beautiful is also known for its annual Christmas Tree Recycling program, a countywide effort to collect and turn thousands of Christmas trees into rich pine mulch to beautify trails and other natural areas in our stunning part of Montana.
