Big Sky Senior Services

In 2005, two programs serving the senior population in Yellowstone County merged to form Big Sky Senior Services: Senior Helping Hands (which included it's Friends Volunteer Program), and Prevention of Elder Abuse (PEA). To date, Big Sky Senior Services is the only agency in the Yellowstone Valley providing home-based care services, representative payee services, and volunteer companionship to low income seniors at a price they can afford. It is our hope that every senior living in this community has the option to remain independent and in their own home.

We have three main programs: 

• Senior Helping Hands provides low-cost, home-based care services to seniors in the Yellowstone Valley on a sliding fee scale basis. Services are provided by our experienced team of personal care attendants, certified nursning assistants, and registered nurses and include, light housekeepung, meal preparation, medication set up, bathing assistance, and so much more. 
• Prevention of Elder Abuse offers representative payee services to seniors deemed incapable of effectlively managing their own finances or are at a heightened risk for financial abuse or exploitation. 
• The Friends Volunteer Program offers volunteer companionship services to seniors struggling with the effects of social isolation. Contacts can be made in-person or over the phone.
