VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Pantry Pals Grocery Shopper

SUMMARY: Grocery shopping is provided for a client who does not have internet access or does not have a desire to use technology for online grocery purchases and delivery.

KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop grocery list with client using PP Grocery Shopping Order Form
Obtain payment type from client
Grocery shop, deliver, unpack and place groceries as requested
Reconcile purchases/return payment type
Collect fee for service/return fee to ARA

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 5-7 lbs.
Bending, stooping standing, twisting

REQUIRED TRAINING: (When volunteer/participant match occurs)
Pantry Pal Orientation

BACKGROUND SCREEN:
Criminal: Yes      Motor Vehicle: Yes

SHIFT/COMMITMENT: 2-3 hours
Service is available M-F only, with exception of major holidays. Start after: 8am-Complete by: 4pm
Visit occurs one or two time each month depending on participant need

SCHEDULING:
Scheduling visit is flexible. Volunteer schedules visit directly with client in advance
Volunteer calls with a friendly reminder before making the visit
Volunteer identifies as Alliance Volunteer and wears Alliance name badge

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY:
Immediately contact Service Coordinator or Volunteer Coordinator

SUMMARY: Transport clients on errands such as grocery store, pharmacy, post office, hair salon, bank, etc.
Ride must be non-medical.

KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist clients arm to arm, curb to curb, door to door depending on volunteer’s comfort level and ability
AUXILARY REQUIREMENTS:
Must travel with a cell phone to track and arrange communication from within the place of business

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Capable of lifting up to 5-7 lbs.
Bending, stooping standing twisting
Volunteers may lend an arm or hand but should not engage in transferring or moving clients
Assistance may include moving a walker or cane to the backseat of the auto or trunk
This may also include carrying items for the client

REQUIRED TRAINING: Rides Orientation

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver- Billings & Billings Heights

SUMMARY: Deliver a hot meal to an eagerly awaiting senior on a route that includes approx. 15-17 neighborhood deliveries.

KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Load coolers with hot/cold menu items as instructed. Deliver meals to addresses identified on route according to diet type. Briefly greet participant and assess general wellness/safety. Report any concerns to the Meals on Wheels Supervisor. Return coolers to original pickup site.

AUXILARY REQUIREMENTS:

ORIENTATION:
Ride-along and comprehensive training by MOW Coordinator
