The United Way of Yellowstone County is joining hands with Family Promise for an annual Diaper Drive initiative, aimed at supporting the Community Diaper Bank. The diaper drive is a significant contribution to the bank, helping meet the continually increasing need for diapers and wipes in Yellowstone County. WE NEED 2 HELPERS FROM 11-1, 2 HELPERS FROM 1-3 AND 3 HELPERS FROM 3-6.
- The Diaper Drive is organized to assist families struggling with the high average monthly cost of diapers and wipes, which ranges from $150-$200 per child.
- Almost 47% of families in the U.S. are forced to choose between essential bills and buying diapers, highlighting the critical need for this initiative.
- Donations of diapers (especially size 4 and 5), wipes, or monetary contributions are encouraged to support the community's smallest members.
- In 2023, Family Promise assisted 3,933 families and distributed 215,000 diapers through their community diaper bank and partner agencies.
- The goal for this year is to collect 50,000 diapers. Monetary donations are also highly appreciated as the Community Diaper Bank can purchase three diapers for the cost of one.
