Who We Are

In order to maintain momentum for poverty-impact and prior homeless initiatives sponsored by the City of Billings - Community Development Division, staff created an AmeriCorps Volunteers In Service To America (VISTA) program known as the Billings Metro VISTA Project in 2009; sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service.

What We Do

VISTA members work to create or expand community-based programs, services, and systems that prevent and intervene in homelessness through capacity-building activities in the following priority areas: Education: School readiness, K-12 success, college access & success, career & technical education, and STEM. Economic Opportunity: Housing, employment / workforce development, and efforts to bridge the digital divide. Healthy Futures: Access to health care, food security, community gardens, and food banks.
